School, Fanfiction, and Weddings

Woo hoo! I made it through my first semester back at school! I even did fairly well! Took four classes and got two A's, a B, and a B-. Signed up for classes next semester. I'll be taking Language & Culture in TESL, Elementary Spanish II, Drug Education, and Pedagogical Grammar and Academic English. Should be fun!! Maybe I'll actually read the assigned reading more? lolz...
But no really, being back at school is fun and a challenge. I know what the path before me looks like and I know it's going to be long a bit difficult, but it's going to be worth it by the time I'm done.
Now, to the fanfiction part of this! I know a lot of you follow me for my fanfiction. Don't wanna brag (yes I do!), but I've gotten a lot of compliments and requests for more writing. As a result, over the years I've started and not finished several projects. I recently went through and re-read some of them and decided to let you guys decide which ones I finish. So I've put up a poll on both fanfiction.net and archive of our own. Links are below for both of my pages, just go to the story that says VOTE! if you want to participate. There's Labyrinth fanfiction in there, Sherlock fanfiction, and Harry Potter fanfiction. Let me know which ones you like, and I'll write them!
Weddings! As though I didn't have enough of them already! This past year I had four weddings to attend/be in and now my best friend has informed me that she will be getting married in June of 2015... even though the guy hasn't proposed. She's certain that they'll be getting married eventually and has already started planning things out. I'm to be her maid of honor and help out a lot (which will be a bit of a challenge considering I live in MN and she lives in NY). Either way, it's going to be fun!
Okay, well that's about it on my end. TTFN! Go vote!!

School Update

Hey everyone! So it is now week 6 of school... Oh my god. This honestly still feels so new and kind of intimidating. I still feel like I don't know what I'm doing half the time. Though classes are going fairly well. There's only one out of my 16 credit load that is pretty heavy on the homework. Not bad considering that the other three are language classes. Okay so only two are technically language classes (taking Spanish and American Sign Language), but my other English class makes it feel like I'm re-learning the English language.
Oh and speaking of which, do you guys remember when I complained about English Syntax? Yeah well I've got to do it again. *headdesk* I'm hoping this time goes a bit more smooth. I've kind of repressed most of that class. Oh well... what will come, will come.
Anyway, I updated Panthera Pardus. Chapter 16 is up and 2800 words long! I'm hoping to have chapter 17 up within the next two weeks. Hopefully... I'm also hoping it will be the end. However things have a weird way of happening with my characters. 
Righto... this is me signing off now. Need some sleep before ASL tomorrow.

Hello again! So it's been a while since I did a journal on here. To catch up... I went to the Lindsey Stirling concert, it was amazing! Loved every moment of it! Especially afterwards when my friend and I went out to IHOP for late dinner/super early breakfast. It was fantastic. I actually have video up on one of my youtube accounts. Username is Elissar87, if you want to see.
Aside from that, just been super busy with work and writing. I competed in and won both the April and July Nanowrimo writing challenges. Did 50,000 words for April and 30,000 for July. Was writing the same story for both though, so now I have a 80,000 word story that is in first draft form (which means it's really crappy writing at the moment), and while the novel may be done, the story arch certainly isn't. I could see this being a two or three part series. Why do I write such long story lines? 
Oh, and I dunno if I said it before on here, but it is official that I'm going back to school! I have enrolled in classes and already am living in my own little studio apartment next to campus. I'm going for a BS in Spanish and minoring in English as a Second Language. That's right, I'm going to be a teacher! I've actually wanted to be a teacher for a long time. I got discouraged though a few years back when I failed an important test, and decided to switch majors. So by the time this is over, I will have two bachelor's degrees, an associate's degree, and hopefully be planning on going for a master's in linguistics. I love language and how it works... can you tell?
So that's about it. I'll try to update you again when school starts (IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS!!!!

So... in other news. I was late with this last chapter update. As many of you may have noticed... Yeah, real life is being a pain in the butt. I have a lot to do and little time to do it in. Most of it revolving around college and getting ready for it again even though I haven't done that in TWO YEARS. On the plus side, I do feel more prepared to go back to college. I know what I did wrong last time and what I need to do now to succeed. Just out of curiosity, are any of you any good at Spanish? I hope to be getting a BS in Spanish in the next two years. Yup... going bi-lingual! Actually, I already have a rudementry understanding of French, not fluent by ANY means, but still... so I'm hoping that will really help with the whole learning Spanish thing.
However, I'm still having fun. I write and big news!! I'm going to a Lindsey Stirling concert with my friend
on March 7th!! It's going to be fantastic! I'll take pictures for you guys.

I've done it... I have finally applied to go back to college. O.O'
I've been pandering about with it for the past God knows how long, and I've finally done it! I keep thinking that this is going to be so much more money that I'll be in debt, and it will... BUT!! I'm going back for a career. I will be majoring in Spanish and minoring in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language). Language has always fascinated me and though learning a language isn't the easiest thing (especially for someone 26 years old), I know what I need to do to succeed now.
I hope to finish in two to three years, and at some point in there, do a four week stay in Spain. I figure I could probably get a job at almost any school district with these degrees. So long as I stay in the state. I would have to do other testing for different states.
So... Wish me luck!
